"Life Could Be a Dream" at the Old Log

Enjoy this award winning musical about a fledgling 60's doo-wop boys singing group preparing to enter a Big Whopper Radio contest. Distractions from the girls have the situation spinning. The '60s hits say it all: "ShBoom," "Earth Angel," "Unchained Melody,""The Great Pretender" and "The Glory of Love." Lunch at the theater is included. Pre-order: beef, pork, fish or veg. pasta.

Trains, Trains and more Trains

Train lovers... all aboard! Children accompanied by adults are welcome too. Take a brief ride in a caboose/train on your visit to the Jackson Street Roundhouse - a working facility housing train exhibits, restored cars and engines. After checking things out, it's off to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum to see many different displays and scales of model trains. Don't miss the unique layout of the Twin Cities in the 1940s and 50s! Conclude the day by viewing the film, "Rocky Mountain Express" at the Science Museum's Omnitheater. No meal is included today.

Eagles along the Mississippi

The upper Mississippi River is a favorite wintering area for a number of bald eagles. Join us today and visit The National Eagle Center located in Wabasha. Hear a program about eagles, see them up close at the center then watch for them soaring in the air. In Red Wing stop at the St. James Hotel for a delicious lunch.
